I was doing a routine tire pressure check today when I noticed a golf ball sized bulge in the sidewall of my (new 255/40 17" Continental) driver's side front tire. It is fairly close to the wheel rim and I have no idea how it got there. However, I can only imagine: 1) the seriousness of the force or defect required to produce such a shape, 2) that this is irreparable, and 3) that it is likely to make the tire dangerous at pretty much any highway speed. Am I wrong...it wouldn't make me mad. Thanks in advance for any advice.
