Pretty obvious if a car has been flooded by saltwater or not. Take a look in the engine bay, alot of the exposed metal parts will have rust on them.
If you look under the car it will be apparent also. Take a look in all the little nooks and crannies in the car, and you will find a white powder (salt). Extremely difficult to clean a car fully from salt damage. Often the most overlooked place when cleaning a car would be underneath the carpets. White powder would be everywhere.
