Use the torx driver from the trunk, that is all you need as a tool. You should have some silone grease/lube or dielectric grease for the rubber nipples so that they do not bind to the plugs. New DI might have that applied already. Yes, just order and install yourself. Best prices seem to be at eeuroparts.com. Might be a good idea to order plugs at the same time and gap and install. Use BPCR6ES-11's, no need for the $12/plug units. Get some loctite blue (hardware store or auto parts store) and use on the 4 torx screws that secure the DI.
The DI connector can be tricky to release as it will be bound up with grit. The red U piece needs to slide out as the connector is pulled out. Use a thin blade at the end of the U to help get it to move.
