Funny. All I USED to use was Mobil 93 - including on my previous Saab, a 9000T. It's far from the cheapest brand, but there are Mobil stations all over the place here in western New York. There are only 3 Sunoco stations in my general area that I can think of, luckily, 2 of which are pretty close to my house.
I had my doubts about switching brands. I let the Aero get down to about 2 gallons or so, then filled up with Sunoco Ultra (93 oct. - by far the most expensive gas you can buy around here...), drove about 15 miles on the new tankful, and then parked for the night. Next morning, started up right away, and has done so ever since. This was about 3 months ago.
I'm assuming that your starter is getting the engine to crank OK. The "routine" before I stopped using Mobil was 3-5 attempts, starter running, engine catches/stumbles/dies, on the last 2 attempts, fires up on the last one. Runs fine the rest of the day, starting on first attempt.
