As for the dash speakers, I find that they disperse the sound off the windshield a bit too much for my liking. I actually disconnected them on my '96 900s. The sound is a lot more fulsome and accurate. In my 900 I have the following:

Front doors - Infinity Kappas 6.5" components with the tweeters mounted beside the outside mirror control.
Rear shelf - 6X9 Infinity Kappa 2-way speakers
Trunk - tuned/ported sub box with 2 10" Pyle Drivers
Amplifiers - 1 MTX Thunder 564 for the doors and rear shelf(rms 45 watts x 4; 1 MTX Thunder 4250D for the subs (250 watts x 1)

The system sounds amazing without being being overpowering i.e. you can barely hear it outside the car at normal listening levels with the windows up.

I'm thinking of a similar set up for my '04 9-5 Aero but I'm not sure what the specs are on the OEM H/K system.

Any ideas?
