Sorry that you got that response and I hope that you're not upset with me for recommending them. I've used John Cheslar at University (the owner) for over 16 years with good results. He's worked on both of my C900's in the past and I was very happy with the results and the relationship of trust that has developed over the years. John's shop will work on Volvos and other cars as a favor to established customer's (i.e., my wife's Audi) but his focus and expertise is in Saab, expecially the classic Saabs. I would have no problem in bringing my 9-5 to him for repair. I have brought my 9-5 to him for problem diagnosis which I subsequently repaired myself, and his diagnosis has always been accurate. However, I agree that he is not as polished as other service centers. He's basically a hard working mechanic and not known for his diplomacy. However, I would have no problem with European Sports Car Garage, either, and have bought many Saab parts from them.
