however these intake upgrades are questionable at best. I have the K&N open air intake setup, also available from genuinesaab, which is the least restrictive of all. That being said, even the K&N install had nominal results on my Aero. The biggest change was that I can really here the turbo spool up and the recirculating valve is quite audible, which is nice. From a performance standpoint, while I don't feel like I wasted the $70 on the kit, I'm not sure if it really helped much. When I first installed it, I also put in a manual boost controller, which at the time seemed to decrease the turbo lag some. Now I don't know if I am just accustomed to the way the car drives or if I was just excited at the time. Maybe I should take out the MBC and test the difference. There are guys here that swear by open air intakes as a viable upgrade, but there are also others who have tuned their cars over 300hp with the stock intake. Go figure. The main thing is to have fun with our cars and keep driving, which I think we are all doing. Cheers.
