used Mobil 1 15W-50 changed every 5k miles. This is a 2.3lpt not the turbo used in the SE with the V6. I believe the turbo for the V6 is more expensive as it is an integral part of the exhaust manifold (someone will clarify this if I am wrong). There are many 9-5s that go for 100 - 200k miles with no turbo problems. Some have exceeded 200k miles. I would suspect that the oil cooling for the turbo was somehow blocked causing premature failure.
