So.. I've been dealing with this awesome dealer in my town, first looking for a newer 9-5 Aero wagon, then I switched tunes, since there were none with in 300 miles for the last 6 months. Now I'm in the hunt for a 2006. One might think that any manufacturer in the midst of hard times might amp up supply for a vehicle they're releasing as 'all new'. Well, nope. It seems that the vehicle I want, just like that which is featured in the 9-5 brochure is virtually unavailable. Looking for a steel gray, sport, OnStar, roof rails.. none. Not within 600 miles. I'm in San Francisco, they checked in New Jersey, Santa Monica (who had one with visibility pkg., but sold it even with my deposit on it).. So. I'm so bugged that even if one WANTED the allegedly quirky Saab, you really can't have one unless it's built to match. DUH. Also, I can't even t-e-s-t a sport model in my area, since there just aren't any. Does this just seem silly, or what? When you know you need a new Saab, and the outlook for delivery is three months away, ya just gotta wonder. So, I'm actually thinking of looking at a BMW after I trashed it earlier today. I'm crabby, sorry. I know there are worse issues in the world, but as we all spend a silly amount of time fretting about Saab's longevity, the attempt to actually buy one, turns out to be rather hard to accomplish.
