The same thing happened to me on my 2002 Aero. I picked up the car after having some routine work done. I noticed that they had replaced the clips on the corner lights as part of a campaign, but didn't think twice about it. On my way home, going 65 MPH, the light came out and beat itself to death on my hood and fender. I took the car back to the dealership and they ultimately took care of the body work, paint and, of course, a new light.
My situation is a bit different from yours because it happened right after they worked on it. I would recommend that you check your receipts to see if/when those clips were replaced under the campaign. If it was somewhat recent, you might be able to make the case that they didn't fix it right. If they never did it, you could try to make the case that they neglected to adhere to the campaign and that's why it failed. If you are still under warranty, they may just take care of everything anyway, campaign or not. In any case, since it is a known problem, I would hope that they would work with you and at the very least, fix everything at cost.
Good luck!
