Yes I use a tranny cooler on my 9-5. I change the fluid twice as often as required. No problems with the tranny. Remember that the tongue weight for the 9-5 SAAB OEM hitch is 165lbs despite the rating for pulling 3500lbs. Trailer brakes are also required for the weight of your rig. Good luck,
