Maybe time for a free consultation with an attorney... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 7 Mar 2006 04:17:22 In Reply to: Re: 99 Saab-9-5, Howie, Mon, 6 Mar 2006 19:38:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I don't know what kind of warranty, real or implied, accompanies internet auction purchases of automobiles, but a spun bearing after only 30 miles sounds like just cause for return of automobile and your money.
Reminds me of the old stories of peole placing sawdust in the crankcase to plug the oil leaks when selling a used and abused car. Especially since it happened after you changed the oil! Visible distortion of bearing caps seems to be evidence of abuse and not just typical wear.
Get an opinion from a mechanic experienced with Saab engines before calling the attorney.
Good luck.
