Dennis. I just did my wife's 2000 95 sedan. No problem running the car once you remove the module. You will no longer be getting the annoying alarms, and the only affect is the service alarm message appears at every start up, you merely clear it.6 phillips screws and a seam sealer hold the thing together. Mine was off for 1 month until I finally got it fixed at Batteries Plus store. See my other postings about it. Back in the car working as designed at this writing. 40$ total to fix, plus removal and reinstall time. Wheel off, fender liner opened up, 2 10mm fasterners (1 nut, 1 bolt) . Plug is a smaller version of the one on your DIC. I put the plug in a sealed plastic bag and tucked it up while module was out. Easy to do with 1/4" drive size tools. Good luck. Tom S.
