This is the newer (but not the newest)IDM that Saab says is good to go.
So at some point and time in life, the IDM has been replaced on your 2000 9-5 since the version that you have installed on your car was not invented when the car left the factory.
The former owner might have had it replaced under warranty (most likely) since it is a very early TK 3.6 IDM.
I would also have the software version in your Trionic computer checked for updates, since they might not have loaded the latest update back in the days when the IDM was replaced.
The new software will supposedly prolong the life of the IDM.
