It is not easy. I have done on baically the same engine and pump on a 95SET. But the engine on the 9-5 needs to be supported and the upper mount removed.

Could easily be from the pump to block adapter o-rings hardening, but the pump still has to be removed. At that point in $$$ or labor, you will want to install a new pump kit, that also comes with replacement adapter o-rings.

Time also for a system flush and new t-stat. Replace the lower hose as well at least.

Search drs-install on the NG-900 BB for the pump R&R from many years ago. Note that the factory changes fastener head styles over time and these may not be the same as in that write-up.

This would be a good time for a (short) new belt and upper idler replacement as well.
