Lots of good feedback here on akebono pads. Brembo rotors (plain) are noted for good steel and being extremely true. I am not happy with the excessive dust and rotor wear with the stock pads either. Not that it's a good comparison but on my Sebring Convertible (now sold), I installed brembo rotors and "Hawk HPS pads". The Sebring is noted for inadequate brakes and mine even had the 4-wheel disks. The Hawk pads made it stop like I couldn't even beleive and what dust there was rinsed off easily. I haven't found a Saab owner yet that's tried Hawk HPS pads. I may be the first? We'll see. They are quite expensive. I think about $95 for the front and $60 for the rear. BTW, the brake pads on my Saab are 90% left as the Dealer replaced them for the CPO warranty so it might be foolish to replace them?
