I changed the trans oil at 46K miles as I just bought the 9-5. The oil was a bit dark so it was time. I plan on changing it 2 more times to get more of the old oil replaced as it was already mentioned you only get 40%+ of the oil replaced by draining the pan. It's easy to do yourself. Look for posts here for details. I was afraid to use anything but 3309 approved oil and ended up buying Toyota Type-IV which is their version of 3309 for Aisin transmissions. Toyota fluid is less-expensive than Saab labelled. Here the local Toyota dealer lists it for $4.65 a quart but I asked for a discount. Got it for $3.72 a quart just for asking.
