I believe the PCV check-valve should be installed to it stops positive pressure from entering the crank-case. Correctly installed, it can draw blow-by from the crank-case into the intake but not the other way around. This is to prevent "positive" pressure from the turbocharger from entering the crankcase. Can you tell me where the PCV check-valve is located on the V-6? I need to make sure mine's OK. I too have had turbo problems but still have some leakage with the replacement. BTW, if you should happen to need a turbocharger assembly, genuine SAAB has rebuilt ones for a good price. They are only as good as the rebuilder and I don't know what kind of work they do?
