Thanks for responding. Four days ago, I chemically cleaned the positive post on the solenoid and cable contact, applied dialectrict grease, added a lock washer and put blue locktite on the nut threads and tightened it. I also checked the other end of the cable. So, I doubt it's the usual "slightly loose cable" problem. All other lights and signals suggest the the ignition is functioning properly. I hear several relays click, what sounds like a brief fuel pump run and the idiot lights extinguish normally except for the master light, battery etc. It's happened to me three times since Sunday morning!
