I got my '06 wagon about three weeks ago and love it. Steel gray, auto, roofrails and no other options. It was just what I wanted after testing cars with sport and other packages.
This is the first SAAB I have driven extensively since mid-70's 99 and mid-80s 900T rentals in Europe, and I like it a lot. My previous car was a 2000 Passat wagon with 170K+ mostly trouble-free miles, but I do not like the new Passat on the road. My wife loves her Volvo XC70 but I find Volvos unengaging to drive. The SAAB is easily the best wagon anywhere near its price. It has a few more rough edges than an A6 or E Class, and is not as much fun to drive as a 5 Series, but it costs $15-35K less so that is more than a fair trade-off.
The only things I do not like are the lack of convenient storage spaces in and around the dash, the limited functionality of the trip computer and some questionable small, no-cost or trade-off decisions made by the designers. Why, for example, aren't the clock and outside temperature always visible?
All-in-all, I think I am going to like this car a lot over the long run.
