the Service Theft Alarm message?
You can clear that w/o pulling fuse 14.
It's only been a day (or so), the message will probably come back.
I just bought a 1999 SE for daughter a few weeks ago, and it has that message. I was hoping maybe a sensor that I could replace, but dealer informed me that it was the siren battery (I it in to get another key programmed, thanks Kevin R, the 2002 key worked great).
I've just been clearing the message for now, whenever it pops up, maybe every 5th time (or so) that I start the car.
Did you try to set off the alarm with the fuse out? Maybe taking out the fuse will disable the lock chirps and perhaps the flashing of the lights, but the siren is still available, until its battery is gone?
