A lot of times, turbo manufacturers have as part of the warranty disclaimer that the turbo oil feed tube is replaced otherwise the warranty is voided.
This is an easy way for them to decline warranty if the invoice is not specifying that the tube was replaced and therefore, the turbo died of oil starvation.
I have yet to see a clogged oil feed tube on the Saabs and Volvos and if that would be the case, it would be just as easy to remove it and clean it out with carb cleaner and a wire on a drill.
But in the end, it is what the turbo manufacturer says that matters if you want the warranty to hold up.
