The cost to do myself wasn't bad - if memory serves the part was around $250 from the dealer with via discount. I needed nothing else...
To part sits on top of the transmission and basically below the battery. You've got to clear a number of items to get access - and it takes a little finesse to line the part up with the trans in neutral (it has a mark to line things back up).
The full job took me about three hours start to finish. I suspect I could do it again in only two. My only suggestion is to make sure you've got a good assortment of sockets and wrenches. Access is a little tight, and I had to think about my approach to get some of the bolts/nuts loose.
I suggest you take a look at the WIS and it's directions, or I know theres a good step by step on the 9-3 board if you'd like pictures of the process (it's very similar to the 9-5). Just let me know if you'd like greater detail and I'd be happy to help.
Take Care,
Scott
