Just pry them open (watch out for the little spring) and remove the mushy rubber gasket that's in there (that's what the problem is). Take an ordinary rubber glove (rectal exam anyone?) and snap the check valve closed over one layer of it. Then just trim the glove off the valve and your squirters are as good as new!
