Would you rather waste a trip to the dealer or have an IDM failure out in the boondocks because your time is to valuable to waste? Perhaps you would like some cheese to go with that whine. I can imagine the rants if SAAB did not try to take preventative action. I have owned a bakers dozen SAABs and have no significant warranty or mechanical issues. Just basic upkeep. My wifes 01 wagon never had an IDM failure but we have a new one under the recall. I wonder if buying new versus used makes a differnce in ownership experience?
