ACC Auto setting doesn't stay on - is this typical?

I just bought an 05 9.5 and when I start the car, the auto ACC setting is not on. I have to manually turn it on and when I stuff off the car for any length of time, the off light on the ACC is on so I have to turn on the auto button again. Is this normal or should I take it in for service. I looked in the manual but it didn't give me any help.
