There is no "float" in the '06 9-5 suspension ...

Great dampening -yes! But "float" , NO! I think some of these writers/reviewers spend too much time in 'Vettes, Vipers and Porches.
The ability to create a great ride while providing superior handling has been the hallmark of a European sport sedan for 3 decades. Let's give the Saab engineers a round of applause. Both '06 suspensions(standard and sport)are the best I've experienced after 2 9K's and now my second 9-5.
If Saab takes its sweet time in introducing new models, there should be some major benefit to the consumer.
This time around on the 9-5, I submit-it's the revised suspensions. Give it a try, and see for yourself. If you want to test your kidneys, go for the Viper- or perhaps a Volvo V70/S60 R in the #2 or #3 setting-or for that matter the Mercedes E500 in the highest setting.
Let's put our hands together...
