Well... it would help to know what item needs resealing that could possibly warrant a $2500 hit. One item mentioned from time to time here is the oil cooler requiring a reseal job. For a V6 engine, my Alldtata subscription shows a labor standard of 3.5 hours to replace the cooler. The oil cooler part itself shows a cost of $506 (less at site sponsor).
Of course, this is a guess. Maybe you have a major engine seal that needs removal of tranny to get at. What year/engine do you have?

The control arm likely busted at the rear pivot which is basically a big pin welded to the arm stamping with a threaded end that passes through the rear bushing. Have a look at thesaabsite.com (site sponsor) under 95 parts - suspension front. The control arm part lists at $120 FYI. I wouldn't drive the car faster than a few mph with that nut missing!
