I had the car off about that much (actually a little more). Two shims did nothing. Shocks and springs helped ride height but not the rear camber. The rear subframe brought everything back to almost perfect spec. I questioned my dealer and the rep about the one shim limit. They checked with someone at Saab who said that two was the maximum and so they tried this. The rear subframe suggestion came from a Saab field engineer who found they had replaced a quite a few of them. I would go through a dealer and see if you can get Saab to pay for the parts and labor on this since I personally think there is more known about this problem than they are letting onto. A subframe should never need replacement at any age or mileage. Good luck. I am not positive, but I would guess you might as well throw on the Aero springs while the rear suspension is pulled apart to save on labor. Depending on your mileage go for new dampers as well.
