Finally decided to go with the Aero suspension kit on our 01 9-5. What a difference ! It's like getting a new car. The kit, called Sport chassis I think, is available through Saab dealers who have to order it from Sweden and sells for what I think is a reasonable price (about 750 CND) . You get four shocks and springs and 2 sway bars and bushings. I knew my suspension was shot but you get used to it on a day to day basis. Now the car is more responsive, has less body roll in curves and doesn't dip as much under braking. The ride is much firmer but with 16 inch tires, remains smooth enough. The new rear springs did not correct the camber problem I was experiencing, as suggested by an alignment specialist, AAMOF, it made it worst. I went to another specialist (a real one), who had told me the springs wouldn't help, and he used shims (from Saturn L) to correct the situation. This will stop my tires from degrading on the outside. If you want to give your 9-5 a new life, go for it. It's like a mid-life refit for a ship.
