The Saab 9-5 must be about the only car on the planet where the V6 version is easier to work on than the 4. I did the water pump on my V6 in about 1.5 hours. The serpentine belt is a doddle, the water valve is easy too. About the only thing I can think of that is harder on the V6 is the thermostat. Even the timing belt is easy, it is just that the parts are spendy. And no sludge issues.
