Yes and no. On the Saab no, on a Chevy yes. I am considering running them longer into the warm weather season on the Saab so I can wear them out before they get old.
I think they are excellent on the Chevy even in the summer, far better than the firestones that were on there before. I find the car gets slightly better mileage than with the firestones and while it might lack that ultimate grip in cornering that one can get out of an expensive summer tire, it has amazing bite when you need it. Slam on the brakes with WRs and you will stop well in any weather (except ice). WRs are pricey, but certainly an excellent tire. In some ways I am sorry I bothered with two sets of wheels when I could have just run WRs year round. Getting a replacement WR in a hurry can be a bit tricky since you usually have to get them shipped to you.
