I had another car that I put Pirelli P400s one despite people telling me to avoid them. I liked them and they wore well. Then I had the Rossos on the Saab and will likely never buy another Pirelli again. I didn’t mind the premature wear issue so much, but the concaving issue was very annoying and Pirelli’s customer service gave me a run around in dealing with it. I too had a small puncture repaired and soon after a belt flipped leaving the tire concave like your picture, also about 1/3rd of the way around. I sent it to Pirelli for analysis who said it wasn’t a manufacturing defect. I would say if you have a Pirelli dealer who considers this a defect and the pro-rate is cheaper after factoring in the higher local dealer price go that route. Otherwise, go for tire rack. From what I understand, Pirelli will rarely consider a repaired tire to have a defect.
