Instead of relying on the anerobic sealant precoated head gasket, I add a thin layer of fresh sealant around the leak prone areas which is the front and back of head gasket.
That's as good as I can do without redesigning the head gasket back to what they used up to 98-99 in the B204/234 engines.
Those head gaskets were more forgiving due to the thickness and use of fiber material instead of thin sheet metal.
I also use brand new head bolts of what I call old style and torque them to the higher (older) torque specs that Saab used until the release of the new head bolts in 97.
