There's a TSB related to Powertrain/Automatic Transmission. Bulletin Number: 44024263; (NHTSA ITEM NUMBER-10011996); Bulletin Date: Jan 04;
Details:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SPRINGINESS IN DRIVE AND JERKINESS WITH SHIFT UP.
This happens to my 95 when conditions are such that I accelerate up a slight incline. I'm bringing my car in for an oil change next week and mentioned this when a scheduled the oil change. I was told that they would run diagnostics and see if it tripped any codes...and if not then they will try to see if they can get the car to do it. If not there's not much they can do. I know I can reproduce it, but does that matter if the mechanic can't reproduce.
Does Saab have a solution to this TSB?
There's also a similar TSB (bulletin# 4402425) dated Dec 03....WITH THE SHIFT UP FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CAN BE SPRINGY IN DRIVE FOR A SHORT PERIOD. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AND NOTIFICATION LETTER TO DEALERS AND SERVICE MANAGERS. ( NHTSA ITEM NUMBER - 10005829 )
Are these related? Does the final sentence mean their is something they plan to do to fix this issue?
Thanks
