Engine Oil Leak - CrankShaft Pulley

My 2002 9-5 Aero seems to have developed a leak around the crankshaft pulley. It accounts for about 0.5L/Month.
Will I be able to replace this seal with/without pulling the engine out?
I thought I may be able to remove the crankshaft pulley and work out the old seal and insert the new seal from the side of the engine that is exposed when you remove the PS/FR tire.
Any experience or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you, MJB
