got an '03 Linear wagon for my wife and the premium package makes it very nice. We got a CPO car that had been serviced every 5K at the dealer we bought it from. It was an early return lease on a deal Saab offered so we still have a year of factory warranty plus CPO to June '09. A CPO car may have new front brakes and new tires, too. Ours did. Makes it an easy decision.
For frame of reference, I have a '96 9000 CSE and the 9-5 is just fine. Different feel, but still definitely a Saab. I haven't driven the wagon much, but I think you'll like it fine. You should drive both a Linear and an Arc. The Arc has some nice stuff, notably the vented seats (IMHO) but I like the feel of the turbo 4 vs the V6. And my indy, who will ultimately work on the car when the wty goes away, discouraged me from the V6. A 4 is more my style anyway. If you can find an Aero you like, but that. My bride wasn't inclined to spend the extra for one, so we have the Linear, but an Aero wagon would really rock.
And like Mike sez, the SportWagon is the ultimate Saab hatchback. I'd replace my 9K with one, and probably will in a few more years.
