Fuel injector cleaner should not be an issue at all. The ECU adapts to fuel changes very quickly, so no issue with the computer's software coping. If you see an improvement, it may be from the injector cleaner working.
A fuel filter can often go to 100K without any problems. If the filter was choking at 65K, there must have been some nasty fuel at some point. One can open a fuel filter to inspect the media, but that is quite difficult.
As for getting going from a stop, the turbo is not an issue as it does not do much anyways until the engine starts to develop significant gas flows; which is a significant problem for manual trany applications.
