What a dilemma. If I were you I would just go drive the two models and pick the one that curls your toes. I'm sure that for most all of your driving needs you will find little difference between the two.
But since you asked......I would choose the 4. The engine is a very highly refined Saab design, it has plenty of zip (a lot of zip...) and gets better mileage, thus a little lower operating expense. The 6cyl engine that Saab uses is a good engine but it is several generations behind the refinement of Acura/Honda engines.
Please don't leave us hanging, do let us know what you decide to get....
