Just wanted to point out that you can actually get more performance from your stock head unit by doing the following:
To get more juice from your factory HK system, with the stereo head unit turned off, press the WB button and the Volume/on/off button at the same time. It should display "Start Up Volume 9". You can then turn it up up to 30, but it's NOT recommended to turn it up past 25. Wait about 10 seconds then turn the radio back off using the volume/on/off button. You can test that it took the adjustment by repeating pressing the WB and Vol button again. It should display the last numerical value you turned it up to. Be careful not to go too high as it could blow your speakers!
I happened across this trying to find a way to set up my Ipod. Much better bass response and overall quality. Plus, you don't have to worry about trying to match the trim and buying adapter from here and there.
If you know someone who has a 9-5 or other Saab, give it a try before you buy!
Cheers,
Marc D.
