Effect / Consequences of tires with different wear?

Thanks to various nails, tacks, glass, sabotage, whatever--two of the Potenza RE750s on my '00 Aero have been very recently replaced using the tire store's warranty. They should have actually replaced a third tire, but reneged on the warranty because they said the wear was too low. Which brings me to...
The remaining two tires on the car consist of one tire that's wearing unevenly, getting close to needing replacement on the interior (while lots of tread remains on the outer portion) and a tire that's wearing fairly evenly that probably has about a year of tread left on it.
Do I need to replace the other tires right now to ensure the two "new" tires wear evenly? I've never had a car that wore tires totally evenly anyway, electing not to get an alignment every week, and really budget-wise, I'd rather wait.
These tires are pretty expensive--not even sure if these are my choice for my next set of tires. I could put a set of 4 Kumhos on the car for the same price as two RE750s if I'm not mistaken--not that I want to go with cheap tires.
Anyway, just wanted to see what the thoughts of having tires of various wear were.
