Have never seen any crreases, but....... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: how does you rear seat leather hold up?, rsfeller, Fri, 14 Jul 2006 09:19:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Folding the rear seats in a 9-5 Sedan makes the interior look pretty ugly. The bottom seat cushions rotate to the vertical position, then the seat back rotates down to a pure horizontal position. The new flat surface is 1-1/2 inches or so higher than the trunk floor.
Three other concerns:
1) The seat bottom anchor clips are exposed when the seat bottoms are rotated forward. I have never seen a mark on my seat backs from contacting these clips after folding them down, but......
2) You can not have long legs in the front seat when the rear seat cushions are rotated to the vertical. The front seats would probably interfere with folding down the rear seats if the driver or front seat passenger had their seats adjusted to the rear travel stops, or close to it.
3) The rear center shoulder belt is always in the way when folding the seats down.
I have folded my seats down on ocassion when I was carrying something long, but the visual effect is so unpleasant that I return them to their normal position as soon as possible.
