Is it my Direct Ignition Cassette causing the misfire? Posted by adl6009 [Email] ![]() ![]() |
It was last friday, I pulled from a stop light and the car nearly stalled, had almost no power for a few seconds. The check engine light came on, actually it flashed a few times and then stayed on. Then the car drove fine. Saturday I read the code and it was a p1300- misfires. I cleared the code, the cel allready had cleared itself. Installed new ngk BKR7ES11 plugs. I drove about 20 miles today and while I was sitting with the A/C on the car had an ocasional miss at idle. It wasn't detectable on the tach, but I could certainly feel it. Do I just call eEuroparts and order 2 of them ($154 each) and swap them out? What else could cause my symptoms?
Thanks for the help.

-Interesting tid bit from my WIS, under the heading- Fault handling I, catalyst damaging misfiring. It states- If catalyst damaging misfiring occurs, the driver is warned immediatly by the CHECK ENGINE lamp flashing at 1 Hz, irrespective of wheather the lamp was allready on or not.
