On those tires,I'd say. I'd be running ,not walking, to the nearest tire store to get new shoes now. Tires that are far younger than those have been known to have dry rot due to age,and if you have about 60 K miles on them, you already have about double what most people get from modern tires on a 9-5. I have had five different style tires on my 2002 Aero, from the more sedate Michelin Primacy which the car came with, to Goodyear F-1 GS-D3 high performance summer tires. Just got a set of new Avon M550 tires on the suggestion of several on this board, and they are indeed smooth and quiet. More so than any of the others I have tried. Fairly inexpensive at about 125 per corner installed. Worthy of consideration. The Goodyears might have the very best performance, but if you stare at them long enough, you will see the tread evaporating in front of your eyes. They were good for about 15 K miles, driven very conservatively I'll add.
