that to which you can attach Thule cross-bars. They are meant to fit a lot of cars, not just Saabs. However, the MSRP is about $125 just for the brackets, compared to the Saab set which includes the bars for the same or less money.
Another point is this: The Thule universal brackets attach with a rubber strap that goes around the roof rails. Call me crazy, but this doesn't exactly inspire confidence to me. The rubber has to degrade over time and I wonder about driving at 70 MPH with two kayaks and a bike or windsurfer on the roof with what amounts to rubber bands holding the cross bars on the car.
I really wish Yakima did the rook rack stuff for Saab. Their stuff is much better IMO than Thule, especially way you can easily mount accessories.
