google on "sid panel repair" (include the quotes)
btw I just did this. took me about 1 hr.
I carefully pried the SID out (I could not get the radio out). It popped out just fine (I used an avacado knife) no scratches to the sid or dash.
I tried the ballpoint pen & other things to mechanicly press the the ribbon cable. no luck at all (I think it got worse)
with nothing to loose I slowly ironed the connection with a fabric iron set on cotton. its now back to 100%. only problem is that I twisted my arm patting myself on the back :-)
If this repair does not last, I will be sending it off to Guy Senesac. But for now it sure looks good.
