Hello again,
I have many ??? with my new 95. I bought it from an owner who had a new motor put in after a sludge problem(the records are great changed oil every 12 to 15k and at 50k kaklunk). The engine now has 17k and the oil was changed very well at 5k intervals (they learned their leason) My question is the dealer used semi synthetic and I want to change to full synthetic. I called the dealer and they said with new engines you should use full synthetic and it would be fine to switch from semi to full. Ive read with old engines with alot of miles you shouldnt use synthetic after regular oil because it will loosen up particals and cause problems. Any help with this would be great. Being a horrible anti dealer that I am I trust no one and thats the reason I have a full shop of tools. I wont even bring my car to get tires... I just bring the wheels. I do have a shop for front end allingment but I wait and watch them. (pathetic I know) I bought a car once because the dealler said it needed a new head and it was going to cost 3500. I bought the car and replaced the valve cover gasket and a leaky coolant hose and drove it 75k and it was still running like a champ but thats another story. Oh I payed 350 for the car and 10 for a gasket I had a peice of hose kicking around.
Thanks for the help
