Because when all the data was looked at and all the wrangling was done by the legal experts, Saab managed to exclude the 99 4 cyl engine and the 99 and 2000 V6 engine.
I think the 2002 V6 have the newest version of IDM from factory (TK 4.6)?
This is not uncommon when it comes to warranty or recalls on all car brands.
Even though many in the repair business knows that far more cars are affected, the car maker can get out of it by using statistics of sorts.
