Why does Saab, in Canada and Im assuming the US as well, only offer the 2.3 with the low spec "Linear" specification? Dont people who pay over CAD$43000 deserve anything but a dull grey dashboard? The new wood in the 9-5 "Arc" (who thought up these dumb names anyway!?) is beautiful but you have to get the V6 at CAD$53000 to get it. Saab has to broaden its range of offerings if it wants to sell more than the 1500 cars it sold here in Canada last year, witness the fact the 9-3 only comes with 5 doors. I know the new 9-3 is coming late in 2002 so lets hope we get the full range of cars like they do in Europe!
Another thing, why did Saab do away with the trademark grill on the 9-5 and adopt something that looks like my neighbours Hyundai. Not a good sign for the future, I suspect.
