You might try calling Saab USA, I have heard of some people getting reimbursed when their car falls out of he recall. Watch out on the V6 though, depending on how long you drove it after the DI cassette failed, the unburnt gas from the dead cylinder bank goes through the exhaust and ruins the catalytic converter. But maybe yours just died in the driveway. On my 2001 V6 one of the DI cassettes failed on the highway so the car was driven on 3 cylinders to the next exit. Luckily we proved the cat. was ruined by the DI cassette and it was replaced under the recall. Also, if you have less than 80k miles on the car the catalytic converter is covered under a government-enforced warranty. Good luck.
